Base salary starts at $33.22/hr

- Coordinate Home Dialysis and Training, and nursing management of home dialysis patients.
- Maintain knowledge of AAMI, CDC, KDOQUI, and Network 15 requirements for dialysis units related to home dialysis, infection control, and patient care best practices and standards.
- Complete the department equipment check‑off list and demonstrate competency on all department equipment; maintain competency on an ongoing, annual basis.
- Assume the role of Primary Nurse and perform responsibilities and duties for assigned patients.
- Identify, plan, and implement a plan to meet primary patient’s dialysis needs.
- Have manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate medical records, equipment, and perform other essential job functions.
- Takes call according to the schedule set by the direct supervisor.
- Fill in outpatient unit when home patient load is not demanding.
- Must enter patients’ homes for initial assessment.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Previous experience in a home dialysis preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience as an RN preferred.
- Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain it within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment.
- Must have current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or become certified within eight (8) months of hire.
- Has a strong belief that patients are capable of caring for themselves.
- Annual completion of required CEUs.
- Able to complete patient training and other work in a consistent, organized, and timely manner.
- Excellent customer service skills, including a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy, and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with other staff, managers, and the general public.
- Able to assess conditions, comprehend complex situations, and problem‑solve effectively.
- Confident in physician relationships; interacts and works closely with a variety of physicians to coordinate patient goals.
- Computer and charting skills.
- Able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Possess strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
- Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
- Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne, respiratory, and airborne diseases.
- Exposure to industrial and pharmacological hazards as defined in various Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances, including unpredictable situations.
