Position: Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Provide and coordinate patient care for labor, delivery and postpartum patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within scope of practice.
  • Administer medications, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to changes per protocols.
  • Educate patients and families according to individual needs and care plans.
  • Transcribe, utilize and implement physician orders; ensure accurate documentation and adherence to care standards.
  • Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel; collaborate with obstetric and neonatal teams as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and patient safety, while adapting to changing priorities and patient conditions.
Requirements
  • Current Wyoming RN license; active and in good standing
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ACLS certification required and maintained if performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-sections, as determined by the Department Director
  • NRP certification current and maintained throughout employment
  • Pediatric Care: PALS certification current if Pediatrics care is involved
  • Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring within first year after orientation;
    Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring within three years of completion of labor orientation
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • NICU/special care nursery experience preferred
  • Ability to work in Labor and Delivery and to operate rotating shifts
