Position: Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Laramie, Wyoming. This travel, temporary assignment starts 09/21/2026 for 8 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a rotating shift. Weekly pay ranges from $3,021 to $3,114 in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and coordinate nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the scope of practice.
  • Transcribe, utilize, and implement physician orders; follow established protocols and document in the medical record.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, and initiate appropriate interventions; operate and interpret electronic fetal monitoring as required.
  • Educate patients and families about labor and delivery, pain management, newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff; ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Care for neonates on the Special Care Nursery/NICU as assigned, including routine assessments, medication administration per protocol, and family support.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality; stay compliant with professional and unit-specific standards.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, valid Registered Nurse license from the State of Wyoming; in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; maintain credentials throughout employment.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; maintain credential throughout employment if performing circulating or recovery duties for cesarean deliveries, as determined by the Department Director.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; maintain credential throughout employment if caring for pediatric patients.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; maintain credential while employed on units serving neonates.
  • NRP certification must be maintained for assignments involving neonatal care.
  • Special care nursery and NICU experience required.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating shifts; valid for travel assignment.
