DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an RN for a multi-unit L&D/Postpartum/Special Care Nursery/Peds/NICU position requiring active WY or compact RN license and 5+ years of experience.
Details- Hospital setting covering L&D, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery, Pediatrics, and NICU units
- Active WY or compact RN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required
- Special care nursery and NICU experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required if performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-section
- Current PALS certification required if caring for pediatric patients
- Current NRP certification required and must be maintained throughout employment on the Family Care Unit
- L&D nurses must complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within first year of orientation and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- Provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment focused on wellness and recovery
- Delivers patient education tailored to individual needs
- Transcribes and implements protocols and physician orders
- Coordinates with the healthcare team and delegates tasks to ancillary personnel as appropriate
- Works effectively with minimal supervision across multiple specialty units

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines.
Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
