- Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
- Provides education to patients according to their needs.
- Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
- Writes prescriptions for medication, blood products based upon laboratory results, routine diagnostic and follow up studies, therapeutic measures, and post discharge care in accordance with written practice protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
- Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited program required.
E X P E R I E N C E
- One to three (1-3) years of experience directly related to position and responsibilities preferred.
C R E D E N T I A L S
- Must have a current, valid Registered Nurse license/Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
- Must have Board certification from ANCC or ACNP
- Must have a current, valid Wyoming Controlled Substance Registration and must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
- Must have a current, valid DEA Registration, and must be in good standing with the DEA.
- Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtain within 60 days of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH.
- Annual completion of yearly required CEUs.
- Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
- Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision. - Ability to learn new computer software programs.
- Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
- Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
