Job PurposeA position designed to build experience in applied and basic research in Animal Science. Students will assist in the efforts of the Hollinger lab which can span from applied bench-top research to hands-on ruminant livestock research and data collection.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position will assist with current graduate and undergraduate research programs in the lab which may include laboratory work, field work, data sorting, and/or data analysis depending on interest and skill level. Applicant must be willing to lend a hand in any of the mentioned areas and expect to have duties in the lab and with livestock prior experience is required but would be welcome in the areas of DNA/RNA isolation, next-generation sequencing and analysis, livestock handling and management, and large-data organization.

Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled student t be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
Desired QualificationsLab experience.
