The Wyoming State Geological Survey seeks a Natural Resources Program Principal to develop 3D geological mapping and modeling of the state's subsurface environment, addressing multiuse challenges including carbon sequestration, groundwater, and energy development. The role is based in Laramie and involves fieldwork, data analysis, software expertise, and project management to support sustainable resource use and state forecasting.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Geology or closely related field (master's preferred)
- Experience in 3D geological mapping/modeling, data analysis, and geologic software
- 1-2 years of progressive work experience in natural resources or related field
- Familiarity with Wyoming's geology and natural resources
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with oil and gas forecasting
