Lightways (Contractors) Limited are specialists in the installation and maintenance of all types of exterior lighting including street lighting on trunk roads, motorways and town and city streets together with LED, decorative and festive lighting of buildings and monuments.

With over 40 years of experience we are able to provide a complete design, supply, installation and maintenance service with all works carried out by our own fully trained and qualified staff - and we are looking to expand our team!

The Role

The main duties of the role include
- Street lighting Electrical work on highways, trunk roads, and residential developments

Column and lantern installation and removal

Lighting design service

Termination of SWA cabling within street lighting columns and panels

Electrical service connections, including groundworks, cabling, and underground cable jointing

Inspections and testing to BS7671

Maintenance and repairs

Working at height

Festive lighting installation

The basic hours for position are 45 hours per week, worked during the course of Monday to Friday. Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience. There is opportunity for overtime which includes weekend working. Electricians also participate in a call-out rota to cover out-of-hours demand.

Electricians' duties will include outdoor working in all weathers and working at height.

The Candidate

We are looking to recruit Electricians qualified to 18th Edition Regulations who hold a full UK Driving Licence. IPaf 1b and 3b qualification/certification is preferred. Post qualification experience is required but training may be given to the right candidates with limited experience who demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and a positive attitude to work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
