Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To assist the Purchasing Director in expediting and carrying out the purchasing functions in accordance with Federal, State and Local Laws and applicable College policies.

Required:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work experience.
- Associate’s Degree
- Purchasing experience in a higher education or similar agency
- Perform assignments with a high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines as required by the Purchasing Director.
- Have excellent working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- Be skilled in the use of personal computers with a working knowledge of computerized purchasing systems.
- Be able to maintain a positive attitude towards College departments, vendors, students, and employees.
- Ability to work other than regular scheduled hours and at different campuses when needed.
All hires are subject to a 90 day introductory review period.

Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a standard office environment.
Work-inside a well-lighted and air-conditioned area most of the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
