Job PurposePHINIA is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Operations Manager in our Laredo distribution center location.
Key Responsibilities- Continually enforce and improve policies and procedures throughout the facility.
- Ensure smooth and accurate operation of the facility to eliminate/reduce discrepancies by recognizing weak areas and introducing solutions to strengthen those areas.
- Provide hands on leadership to site supervisors in developing and implementing programs such as:
Safety, CPI, 5S, Lean, and other programs to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Continuous improvement of the operation. - Maintain a reporting system on the performance of all functional areas to be available to customers.
- Develop in coordination with the customer, a detailed site business plan, and ensure that all items in it get measured and accomplished every week.
- Provide hands‑on support to those areas out of compliance to establish a quick and reliable resolution.
- Participate in Business reviews as established in coordination with the customer.
- Proven leadership and people development capability. Trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; proficiency in SAP.
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree.
- At least 10 years of Distribution Center experience (automotive LD/Heavy Duty).
- Corrective action experience.
- 5S lean experience.
- Special and transition project execution experience.
- Forecasting experience.
- Safety oriented.
- 100% Bilingual.
- SAP experience.
- C-TPAT experience.
