Job SummaryAssist the Banking Academy and perform general office duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Handle routine office inquiries from industry partners, employees, and students.
- Assist in day‑to‑day maintenance of the assigned program and department.
- Perform clerical functions including answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Assist with event support: planning and executing academy events, workshops, networking receptions, and conferences.
- Manage event registration and attendee communications; prepare materials, name tags, packets, and promotional items.
- Support event set‑up, check‑in, and breakdown activities; track attendance and prepare summaries.
- Serve as point of contact for current and prospective Banking Academy students, promote programs and participation.
- Assist recruitment initiatives and information sessions.
- Assist in marketing and communications: develop newsletters and email campaigns, take photos and collect content during events.
- Enrolled at least half‑time (6 credit hours per semester for undergraduates, 3 for graduates).
- Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduates.
- Must have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
- Submits a FAFSA application annually to demonstrate financial need.
- Must be a Texas resident.
- Athletic scholarship recipients do not qualify for these positions.
- Must meet all other requirements stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).

Other Requirements- Position requires on‑campus, face‑to‑face interactions.
- Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace; some evening and weekend work may be required.
- Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs but must not conflict with class schedule.
- Promptly complete all required training.
- Input hours worked daily and submit timesheet biweekly.
- Position subject to funding and/or need.
Pay rate: $8.00 per hour for up to 19 hours weekly.
