Estimator - Residential Construction

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join the Ariva Homes team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to provide accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects. This role will involve collaborating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and prepare comprehensive proposals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to accurately estimate residential construction costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather information required for cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions and determine project requirements.
• Research and gather data on labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Prepare detailed and itemized cost breakdowns and schedules for proposals.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Track and report project costs, providing updates to project managers as required.
• Stay informed about market trends, construction costs, and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a residential construction estimator.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
