Facility:
This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility that provides comprehensive interventional radiology services to the Laredo community. The facility features a dedicated IR team consisting of three experienced IR nurses and four skilled radiology technicians who work collaboratively to ensure efficient procedure turnaround times.

Physician - Diagnostic Radiology/Nuclear Medicine - Vascular and Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Provide interventional radiology coverage Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with one-hour lunch break

• Evening call coverage Monday through Thursday, 5 PM to 8 AM (no call coverage required Friday-Sunday)

• Focus exclusively on IR procedures with no diagnostic imaging responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for all procedures performed

• Handle an average of 16 cases per day with approximately 15 patient encounters per shift

• Perform various procedures including fistulogram-declotting, liver mass biopsies, thoracentesis, thyroid biopsies

• Conduct shoulder arthrograms, paracentesis, renal mass embolization, and central venous line placements

• Perform abdominal mass biopsies, bone marrow aspirations, and tunneled HD catheter placements

• Work with a dedicated team of three IR nurses and four radiology technicians

• Must maintain active Texas medical license

• ACLS and BLS certifications required

• Board certification preferred but not required

• ASAP credentialing available for qualified candidates

• Ongoing coverage needs for 2022

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
