Laredo, Texas. Appointment: 9-month, non-tenure track, begin Fall 2026.

TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with an emphasis on student success, research excellence, and engagement in the community. This position requires face-to-face interactions on campus.

• Teach courses such as Petrophysics, special topics in emerging areas of the discipline, and general engineering courses.
• Mentor and advise students engaged in Senior Design projects and undergraduate research activities.
• Participate in ABET accreditation activities, including assessment and evaluation of student outcomes.

• Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline. Applicants near completion may be considered if the degree is completed prior to the start of the  academic year.
• Research experience in one or more relevant areas and the credentials required to teach in those areas.
