Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering to begin Fall 2026. The position is a 9‑month appointment, non‑tenure track, located in Laredo, Texas.

• Teach courses such as Microprocessor Systems, Robotics & Automation, Machine Learning, Fundamentals of A.I., Networks & Data Communication, Digital Logic Design, and introductory computer programming courses.
• Mentor and advise students engaged in Senior Design projects and undergraduate research activities.
• Participate in ABET accreditation activities, including assessment and evaluation of student outcomes, and other service activities as required by the School of Engineering.
• Engage in face‑to‑face interactions with students through a regular campus attendance schedule.

• Hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Candidates close to completing their Ph.D. will be considered if degree completion is prior to the start of the 2026‑2027 academic year.
• Have research experience in one or more of the areas listed above and the credentials required to teach in those areas.
