Responsibilities include coaching and directing students in mariachi and directing the TAMIU Mariachi Internacional ensemble. The Mariachi Director will be expected to lead rehearsals, schedule additional rehearsals as needed, and provide coaching, mentoring, and individual or small-group instruction to support student development and ensemble performance. Successful applicants may also teach up to nine (9) semester credit hours in Music at on-campus or online locations as dictated by student demand, hold office hours, and provide academic support to students as needed.

This position requires face-to-face interaction through a regular schedule of attendance on campus.
