Instrument Operator

Our Survey Practice in Texas is looking for an Instrument Operator to join our team. This is a field-based position that requires regular overnight travel.

Location:

Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Laredo.

Responsibilities include performing technical tasks with high accuracy and professionalism, cooperating with team members, clients, and supervisors, ensuring project requirements meet industry standards, safety regulations, and KCI policies, participating in cross‑training, communicating workflow needs, and proactively resolving field problems.

• Experience:
  
  experience on a Survey field crew performing Utility surveys, ALTA surveys, boundary, topographic, construction layout and telecom surveys.
• Skills:
  
  proficiency with Trimble survey equipment and other basic survey field equipment.
• Duties: use survey equipment to perform ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, utility surveys, construction layout, and telecommunication surveys as directed by field crew leader.
• Ability to perform some equipment maintenance tasks.
• Physical requirements:
  
  must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions and climates, and be willing to work evenings, weekends, and overnight and extended stay projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations required:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to maintain required certifications.
