Position: Superintendent, Wastewater Collection, 212, (A264220-1), 212, Wastewater Collection
Manages wastewater collections operations for multiple plants. Leads team of supervisors in the achievement of system goals. Manages budgets, negotiates purchase orders with vendors, and oversees ongoing improvement projects. Responds to customer concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff. Supervisory functions include: makes hiring and termination decisions; prioritizes assignments and directs work; develops and oversees employee work schedules and approves time away from work; provides and/or facilitates employee training and development; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; completes employee performance appraisals; determines or makes recommendations regarding new hire salaries and salary changes;

and acts as liaison between employees and management.

* Manages division operations, including work orders, purchasing, requisitions, and payroll.

* Plans and organizes preventive maintenance of sewer lines and lift stations.

* Responds to customer concerns.

* Supervise field operations.

* Performs related work as required.

Knowledge of:

* Knowledge of TCEQ regulations and safety procedures.

* Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including computers and applicable software, such as GIS.

Physical Effort Requirements Position will have the following exposures
