Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and be able to work closely with our Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional care to our clients. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care
  • Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote independence and improve quality of life
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
Requirements
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and strategies for various populations
  • Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
  • Flexibility to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a variety of clinical settings (nursing homes, hospitals, schools, outpatient clinics)
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology
