Role Overview
A Dietitian provides specialized nutritional care for patients with kidney disease, working within an interdisciplinary team under supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Nutrition:
Recommend therapeutic diets based on current, science-based practices, review lab results, educate patients on fluid, sodium, potassium, and mineral management, conduct assessments, and participate in care planning and interdisciplinary conferences. - Teamwork:
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure comprehensive patient care and maintain positive relationships. - Safety & Quality:
Support clinical and operational processes aimed at improving patient outcomes, contribute to quality assurance programs, and participate in QAPI activities.
- Current RD/RDN certification with proof of registration.
- At least one year of clinical nutrition experience.
- Active dietitian license in applicable states; specific certification may be required depending on the location.
- Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency, with ability to quickly learn clinical applications.
