Mammogram Technologist
Responsible for the operation of diagnostic Mammogram and the performance of all Mammogram procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data at all times. Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images and ensures proper film identification on all images.

Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists;
Certification by A.R.R.T on Mammography or registry eligible. BLS required. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Must possess a positive and courteous attitude and take the initiative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.
