Surgical Technologist
The surgical technologist will be working directly with the surgical team. The surgical technologist will be responsible for preparing the surgical suite according to age specific, medical condition and surgeon preference. The surgical technologist will also perform appropriate sponge, sharp and instrument counts according to hospital policies and procedures. It will be required for the surgical technologist to cross train to other surgical areas in our system.
The surgical technologist will demonstrate competency to aseptic surgical equipment annually.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification through National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing or an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the US armed forces.
- Must have and maintain current BLS certification, according to unit specific need
- Willingness to be cross trained in other areas.
- Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to the facilities Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer
