Laredo Sports Medicine Clinic is a multi-specialty practice focused on sports medicine, orthopedics, and physical therapy. Our team provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with an emphasis on functional outcomes and return to activity.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates, develops, and implements individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic, post-operative, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal conditions. The PT works collaboratively with physicians, physical therapist assistants, and support staff to provide evidence-based care and optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and establish individualized plans of care
  • Develop treatment goals and progress patients appropriately based on clinical findings
  • Provide skilled interventions including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities, manual therapy, and patient education
  • Reassess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and payer requirements

    Communicate effectively with referring providers and interdisciplinary team members
  • Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff
  • Educate patients regarding diagnosis, prognosis, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies
Qualifications
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Texas (or eligible for licensure)
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
  • Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage a productive caseload in a fast-paced outpatient setting
