The Executive Housekeeper
- Manager will manage the housekeeping and laundry operations of the hotel to ensure that guest rooms, public spaces, and other areas are immaculately clean, organized, and sanitary. Ensures that the housekeeping department meets high standards of quality and efficiency so that guest satisfaction is optimized.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train and provide career development for housekeeping staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for employees.
  • Develop and implement systems for inspecting and managing the quality of housekeeping and laundry services provided to ensure timeliness and efficiency of services.
  • Supervise work activities of housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards by inspecting rooms, including deep cleans.
  • Distribute keys and work assignments to staff.
  • Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
  • Assist General Manager in the selection of housekeeping personnel.
  • Assist management staff of the hotel in assuring housekeeping staff practices efficient and effective procedures.
  • Report maintenance repairs to maintenance staff; record repair information in maintenance log.
  • Complete follow-ups on vacant and occupied rooms.
  • Assume functions of Housekeeper as necessary.
  • Takes control of lost and found items as appropriate.
  • Oversee inspections of housekeeping/laundry activities to ensure procedures are followed according to standards and achieve departmental productivity objectives.
  • Conduct training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures, and service guidelines.
  • Schedule staff work schedules and duties according to productivity standards and forecasted occupancy; monitor staff adherence to schedules and duties.
  • Prepare reports about room occupancy, payroll, department expenses, and inventories and share data with appropriate department heads.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests/complaints in a friendly manner; relay appropriate requests or complaints to the appropriate subordinate or manager and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping services and take corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain cost control system for linen and cleaning supplies inventories; oversee budgeting, ordering and receiving of such supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for the efficient operation of the hotel.
  • Compile and report information on housekeeping activities and expenses; provide information to guest services on the status of guest rooms to ensure accurate and timely reporting on room availability.
  • Display a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follow company philosophies, policies and procedures and effectively communicate them to subordinates.
  • Fulfill Manager on Duty shifts.
  • Ensure hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage‑Hour and Health laws.
