Position: HR COORDINATOR

Job Summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo is a 183‑bed acute care facility located in Laredo, Texas. The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as the first line of communication between employees, applicants, and other customers, assisting all customers effectively, timely, and courteously.

Essential Job Functions
  • Performs reception duties, including answering phone calls, greeting applicants, assisting with job applications and follow‑ups; maintains communication between staff, visitors, and other business contacts; prepares files, maintenance forms, personnel files, and keeps bulletin boards up to date.
  • Assists with processing paperwork such as ICIMS entries, performance evaluations, transfers, new hires, and terminations, and other correspondence as necessary; prepares personnel reports and ensures their accuracy and completeness.
  • Processes data entry and record‑keeping with the HRIS system for all employee transactions in accordance with policies and procedures; orders necessary departmental office supplies using the HSS system or requisition process.
  • Coordinates the facility’s New Employee Orientation program, birthday luncheons, and facilitates employee badge issuance as needed.
  • Assists employees with benefit applications and issues, payroll check inquiries, accrual problems, orientation, and other HR‑related matters; verifies employment status through personnel records or other available means.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
    • High School graduate or equivalent
    • Associate’s degree required
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
    • Prior HR experience in a healthcare environment preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years clerical experience required
    • Experience with Microsoft Office programs required
