As an Immigration Legal Assistant / Paralegal
, you will work closely with our attorneys to prepare, manage, and support a full spectrum of immigration matters across all areas of the firm, including family-based, humanitarian, employment- and business-based immigration, removal defense, and consular processing.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in complex immigration cases
, particularly VAWA, U Visa, and T Visa matters
, as well as employment- and business-based visas

The Paralegal will actively support cases including, but not limited to:
- Family-Based Immigration: I-130 petitions, Adjustment of Status (I-485), consular processing, naturalization (N-400), waivers (I-601 / I-601A)
- Humanitarian Relief: VAWA, U Visa, T Visa, asylum, Medical Deferred Action, TPS, and related relief
- Employment & Business Immigration: H-1B, L-1, O-1, E-1/E-2, employment-based petitions, corporate immigration, and strategies for entrepreneurs and executives
- Removal Defense: EOIR proceedings, cancellation of removal, defensive adjustments, motions to reopen/reconsider, administrative appeals
- Additional Matters: FOIA requests, USCIS/NVC/consular correspondence, interview and hearing preparation
- Key Responsibilities | Responsabilidades Principales
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documentation for all immigration case types handled by the firm
- Assist attorneys with case strategy, form preparation, and filings
- Communicate with clients to collect information, explain processes, and provide case updates
- Maintain accurate and confidential digital and physical case files
- Ensure strict compliance with deadlines and filing requirements
- Support attorneys in the preparation of interviews, hearings, briefs, and evidence
- Conduct client intakes and initial interviews according to firm protocols
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program (highly preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience across multiple case types
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and immigration case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Spanish-English bilingual proficiency highly preferred - Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a remote environment
