LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
The Logistics Coordinator provides support to the supply chain activities. As a Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for the receiving, distribution, and inventory tasks. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible to prepare the shipping documents, invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork with precision and accuracy. The Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following is a brief description of some of the duties and responsibilities (not limited to the following):
- Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Process inbound/outbound inventory moves and data within SAP. Conduct regular cycle count audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies for both parts and finished goods. Coordinate with our 3pl on any inventory movements (blocked goods, scrap, returns, etc.) - Order Processing:
Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods. Coordinate with our logistics partners to track shipments and resolve any delivery issues. Communicate with internal and external partner stakeholders to provide updates on order status and delivery timelines. Process in SAP all orders from creation to completion. Manage quotations of shipping LTL & FTL from Ariston Warehouses & External Partner Warehouses. - Shipping and Receiving:
Arrange for the shipment of outgoing orders, including selecting carriers and scheduling pickups. Receive in SAP, incoming shipments, inspecting damages and verifying quantities alongside our 3plpartner. Update shipping and receiving records in the inventory management system. - Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing the transportation of goods. Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities. Maintain Carrier Quotes for all LTL/FTL shipment portal booking and recording as needed. Maintain Carrier Performance Scorecards. Maintain various KPI spreadsheets in coordination with company standards and policies. - Customer Service:
Serve as a point of contact for customer service inquiries regarding order status, shipping information, and product availability. Address any customer concerns or issues related to logistics in a timely and professional manner. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices. Accepts other responsibilities as requested by the Logistics Manager.
EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate has a background in Supply Chain/logistics with 3 to 4 years' experience with a two-year degree in Administrative Support or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in administrative support or equivalent real world logistics coordinator experience. They will also have:
Computer proficiency; must have intermediate experience with MS Office – Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with 3 to 4 years' experience. Capabilities of using modern ERP systems: MRP execution, Inventory Management, Warehousing and Distribution. Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills managing email requests while maintaining professionalism. Ability to work independently on projects.
OTHER
QUALIFICATIONS:
Language Skills – Ability to read, write and speak English. Spanish language a plus. Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Physical Demands & Weight Limitations – Physical
Activities:
Ability to stand, walk and sit. Ability to reach and use arms, hands and fingers. Ability to hear. Vision Requirements – Close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception; and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment – Quiet conditions in the office. Moderate noise conditions in Warehouse area when needed. Personal, Protective Equipment - Ability to wear safety glasses and other job related personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
