Revised: 10/01/2025; 02/03/2026 – Manages wastewater collection systems. Leads a team of supervisors in achieving system goals, manages budgets, negotiates purchase orders with vendors, and oversees ongoing improvement projects. Responds to customer concerns and problems.

Responsible for managing the City’s wastewater collection infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with environmental regulations.

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, including hiring, staffing, training, performance appraisals, and resolving employee concerns.
• Oversees vehicle inspections, inventory, parts procurement, and repair scheduling to maintain fleet readiness.
• Conducts safety tailgate meetings to educate employees on safety protocols.
• Drives City vehicles for official business as required.
• Performs additional related tasks as necessary.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least ten (10) years of experience supervising wastewater collection or stormwater systems.

• Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out‑of‑state license, a Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• TCEQ Wastewater Collection II License – must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
• NASSCO Certification – must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

All applicants will undergo a background check and a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test. Random testing will be conducted for safety‑sensitive positions in accordance with City policy.
