Supervisor, Building and Grounds; A263154-3 Construction Maintenance

Supervises grounds maintenance throughout stadium facilities. Monitors pending work orders, trains and oversees grounds staff, and performs general maintenance and repairs.

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff. Supervisory functions include: makes hiring and termination decisions; prioritizes assignments and directs work; develops and oversees employee work schedules and approves time away from work; provides and/or facilitates employee training and development; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; completes employee performance appraisals; determines or makes recommendations regarding new hire salaries and salary changes;
  
  and acts as liaison between employees and management.
• Receives, prepares, organizes, and prioritizes pending work orders; obtains quotes from vendors.
• Oversees daily operations of building and ground activities.
• Coordinates and monitors all work performed by outside contractors; reviews and inspects work in process and upon completion for compliance with standards.
• Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures; initiates appropriate corrective action to resolve operational problems.
• Attends staff and special project meetings as required.
• Will be required to drive City vehicle for City business use.
• Performs related work as required.

• Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including computers and applicable software.
• Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of hand and small power tools.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of lawn mower and riding lawn mower.
