DescriptionOur Laredo Distribution Center is currently seeking Graders to join our team. In this critical role, you will work on production lines to sort incoming greenhouse grown product: peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers; ensuring that all product meets the required specifications for our customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Learn and maintain product quality standards that meet customer specifications.
- Assist in packaging/washing set up, as needed, to ensure smooth flow of product.
- Maintain a sanitized and organized department that meets all food safety requirements.
- Must handle all sanitizing chemicals safely, as prescribed.
- Work as a valued team member with good attendance, open to training and learning and supporting all co-workers to ensure production goals are met.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
- Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma is preferred.
- Related work experience in food production is an asset.
- Proficient with the English language, both written and verbal.
- Available to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays may be required).
- Be respectful and deal tactfully with co-workers, customers and vendors.
- Keep all company information confidential.
- Complete a background and drug test screening.
Working Conditions:
- Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages a constant 55 degrees (except office areas). The background noise approaches 70 dB.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. with or without accommodation.
