Responsibilities

The Employee Health/Infection Prevention Nurse plans, organizes, and provides employee health services to all employees, students, and volunteers as necessary. They serve as a resource person to any hospital employee or department, assist in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating annual requirements for employees to be in compliance with OSHA, CMS, and JCAHO. The nurse works to ensure the health and wellness of employees, provides essential medical services in the workplace, and operates a wellness education program.

The role collaborates with Human Resources, Safety, and Security departments on important matters including workman's compensation, workplace ergonomics, and absence/leave accommodation management. Their expertise and guidance are crucial in ensuring the well‑being of employees and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Current Texas RN license required
• Current BLS required
• Previous hospital experience required
• Working knowledge of OSHA, CMS, and JCAHO preferred
• Computer skills including typing and proficiency with Word and Excel
