Job Summary

The Employee Health/Infection Prevention Nurse plans, organizes, and provides employee health services to all employees/students/volunteers as necessary. The Employee Health Nurse serves as a resource person to any hospital employee/department as requested and assists in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating all yearly requirements for employees to be in compliance with OSHA, CMS, and JCAHO. Employee Health Nurse works to ensure the health and wellness of our employees provide essential medical services in the workplace, and operate a wellness education program for employees.

This role collaborates with our Human Resources, Safety, and Security departments on important matters including workman's compensation, workplace ergonomics, and absence/leave accommodation management.

Their expertise and guidance are crucial in ensuring the well-being of our employees and maintaining a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Texas RN license required
  • Current BLS required
  • Previous hospital experience required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, CMS and JCAHO preferred
  • Computer skills to include typing skills and knowledge of programs such as Word and Excel
