RN Clinical Specialist
The RN Clinical Specialist is responsible for the overall leadership and operations of Maternal Program services for the facility. Ensures that the requirements for the Maternal Designation are maintained for the facility and ensures completion of required actions. Provides leadership and consultative services for performance improvement activities of the maternal program, and ensures compliance activities for all regulatory agencies for the designation program.
Responsible for program assessment, planning, organizing, implementation, performance improvement, education, community outreach and education in maternal care.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BSN required, MSN preferred - Experience:
Minimum of five years of RN nursing experience in Labor and Delivery - Licensure:
Current Texas RN license - Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, STABLE
Must have solid knowledge base of reproduction, fetal growth and development, physical and psychosocial adjustments to ante-, inta-, and post-partum, labor and birth process, medical and nursing interventions, pain management, and documentation issues. Excellent oral, written and organizational skills
