We’re Hiring!

We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Quality Control Supervisor in our Quality Control Department at our Laredo, TX facility.

• Checking the quality of bins from the greenhouse and the quantity of produce coming into the warehouse
• Assessing product specifications according to customer requirements
• Checking and recording specifications, such as fruit size, weight, width, length, color, and any imperfections
• Inspecting, recording, and reporting the quality of all incoming, outgoing and current commodities
• Inputting observations using QC One and any other software
• Identify and communicate findings in a timely informative manner
• Maintaining an open line of communication with line leads and supervisors
• Preparing reports for Growers and Vendor inspectors
• Assess the product specifications to meet customer requirements
• Check and record specifications, such as commodity size, weight, width, length, color, and any compliance issues
• Document observations during quality checks
• Ensure product compliance meets legal and quality standards
• Inspect, record, and report the quality status of all incoming and outgoing commodities
• Work alongside Shipping, Receiving, Allocation and Production to influence decision making
• Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures

• Other duties as assigned

• 1-3 years of Quality Control experience
• Previous Supervisory experience is preferred
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, delegate, provide direction to staff and resolve issues fairly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software programs
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality
• Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company
• Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action as needed
• Ability to address difficult situations confidentially, professionally and respectfully
• Safety Shoes
• After hours communication as needed/necessary

• Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary from cooler to temperature-controlled areas
• Working with a wide array of people/cultures in a team setting, including offshore workers, locals, contractors and vendors
• Occasional need for some heavy lifting
• Balance between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
