Recreational Hospitality Attendant
The Recreational Hospitality Attendant is a versatile team member responsible for providing high-quality, courteous service to members and guests by performing a blend of food running, bartending, and food serving tasks. This role requires the ability to shift between dining service, beverage preparation, and food delivery in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Core Responsibilities- Guest Service & Interaction:
- Provide attentive and personalized service to members and guests, ensuring an enjoyable dining and drinking experience.
- Offer recommendations on menu items, including food and beverage pairings.
- Ability to multitask and follow detailed instructions, especially under pressure.
- Create a welcoming environment through positive communication and engagement.
- Order & Payment Management:
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Process transactions using POS systems and handle cash/credit card payments securely.
- Ensure correct billing and receipt handling, addressing any discrepancies.
- Food Running & Support Duties:
- Transport meals from the kitchen to members in a timely manner while maintaining presentation quality.
- Deliver orders accurately to designated tables, bays, or lounge areas.
- Verify correct plating and match food to corresponding orders.
- Expedite food from kitchen to service area efficiently and safely.
- Clear and reset tables after each member and guests visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in service stations and dining areas.
- Bartending & Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with all laws and club policies.
- Maintain bar inventory, restock supplies, and ensure cleanliness of the bar area.
- Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for event-specific drink service.
- Safety, Compliance & Operational Support:
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace hygiene.
- Comply with all local and state laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant or bar is properly set up and secured.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and fellow service staff to streamline operations.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, wine selection, and food presentation techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems, order tracking, and event service protocols.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive movements.
- Valid Food Handler safety certification.
- Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission certification.
