The Customer Experience Leader is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer experience in their store through personal customer engagement, an exceptionally clean and orderly sales floor, dressing rooms, restrooms, and merchandising. The CEL assists customers in locating items and answering service questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, make a connection, and guide them to meet their shopping needs.
- Provide continuous customer service and cashier training to all cashiers; monitor performance and coach staff to achieve the highest levels of customer service.
- Perform refund and void approvals for cashiers as needed in the absence of a manager.
- Hang, arrange and maintain orderly and full textiles/clothing racks on the sales floor, restock proactively.
- Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control and compliance procedures.
- Operate the cash register as a backup; handle cash, debit, credit and gift card transactions, and issue receipts efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Assist in safeguarding team members and property from harm, damage or theft; report any observed or suspected incidents.
- Keep aisles free from debris, maintain clean and organized work areas, and report safety hazards.
- Keep the work area clean by sweeping, emptying trash cans and disposing of trash appropriately.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of retail customer service oriented experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with customers and co-workers; ability to work as a team.
- Physical ability to bend, lift, grasp and move continuously throughout the day.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
- For positions requiring driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed when driving during company business.
