Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Police Operations Coordinator supports law enforcement operations, records management, and campus security. Responsibilities include monitoring security systems, maintaining police records and evidence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing department resources. The role also supervises part-time police aides, oversees fleet and equipment management, and serves as a liaison with external law enforcement agencies. With a focus on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency, this position plays a vital role in campus security.

Required:
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in law enforcement administration, records management, or security operations.
- Proficiency in law enforcement reporting systems, records retention policies, and regulatory compliance (Or willing to obtain within six months):
- Texas DPS CJIS Certification
- Certified Law Enforcement Records Manager (CLERM)
- TCOLE Evidence & Property Room Management Certification
- Emergency Management (FEMA, ICS, NIMS) Training
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or Compliance.
- Certification in Law Enforcement Records Management, TCOLE Evidence & Property Room Management, or Emergency Management (FEMA, ICS, NIMS).
- Experience working in a higher education law enforcement environment.
