ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

* Installs conduits, wires, pull boxes, switchboards, controllers, and switches required in making additions, extensions, or alterations in electrical systems.

* Tests, locates, and repairs trouble in electrical circuits and equipment; repairs and replaces defective parts in motors, generators, storage batteries, switchboards, controllers, contractors, switches, and other fixtures and appliances.

* Maintains a stock of selected electrical supplies; prepares reports and maintains records.

* Services, repairs, and maintains lighting, power, heating, and traffic lights, as assigned.

* Provides advice and guidance to individuals responsible for appliance, bulb, ballast, and light fixture repair.

* Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.

* Performs related work as required.
