Job Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Operator will conduct all the daily activities associated with trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Checks and fuels vehicles and performs light mechanical adjustments and assists mechanic in performing repairs on assigned equipment.
  • Sets up trench jacks.
  • Distributes notices to residents and businesses as instructed.
  • Chips manholes.
  • Repairs manholes.
  • Fuses pipe.
  • Sets up winches and connects hoses.
  • Assists with install of liner, operates inverter, cuts liner.
  • Restoration and clean up.
  • Connects services.
  • Sets up equipment.
  • Loads equipment.
  • Utilizes all safety equipment and follows standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience And Qualifications
  • Incumbent must possess and demonstrate proficiency in the above responsibilities; must demonstrate good communication and interaction skills.
  • Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to be proactive and troubleshoot.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
  • Must be able to work in extreme work environments, conditions and confined spaces; position requires fit physical condition.
