General Job Description
We are actively hiring Electrical Helpers for our team in Laredo, TX and are looking for dependable individuals who are ready to start quickly.
This is a great opportunity to learn the electrical trade, gain hands-on field experience, and grow your career in the electrical industry. You’ll work alongside experienced electricians while helping complete residential electrical installations and supporting the field crew.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities
- Assist in house rough‑in work, including measuring, cutting, and pulling wire
- Install trim components such as plugs, lights, fixtures, and switches
- Carry materials and tools to support the leadman and crew
- Clean and maintain the work area and equipment
- Maintain a professional working relationship with the leadman and team members
- Communicate progress, issues, and solutions to management when needed
- Follow company safety policies and promptly report hazards
- Take direction effectively and contribute to a productive team environment
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education:
None, Minimum Years of
Experience:
0-2 years.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Preferred:
Electrical experience and knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) - Preferred:
Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical layouts - Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Team‑oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and climb throughout the workday
- Lift, carry, and move materials and tools up to 50 pounds
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Work at heights using ladders and lifts on multi‑story residential construction sites
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties
- Maintain consistent attendance and stamina for full work shifts
- Work is performed on active residential construction sites
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, and noise
- Job sites may involve unfinished structures, ladders, and uneven terrain
- Safety procedures and PPE are required at all times
