The Installation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Laredo, TX. This role is responsible for installing glass and aluminum systems, including storefronts, curtain walls, and window walls, in accordance with company standards and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting drawings, preparing work areas, measuring and cutting materials, performing cable or hardware installation, and ensuring all components are securely and accurately fitted.
The Installation Technician will inspect completed work, troubleshoot installation issues, and coordinate with project managers and team members to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency on job sites. The role also involves interacting professionally with customers, addressing questions, and contributing to a positive service experience that aligns with the company’s values.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service abilities to work with team members, contractors, and clients professionally.
- Candidates should have a focus on customer satisfaction, ensuring work is completed to quality standards and client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Candidates should possess basic to intermediate hardware installation skills relevant to glass, aluminum, and related systems.
- Experience in construction, glazing, or installation of glass and aluminum products is beneficial.
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
- Physical ability to lift materials, work at heights, and operate hand and power tools safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in a related trade are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites as required.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and working collaboratively in a team environment.
