JAS is an international supply‑chain services company. The Domestic Transport Specialist oversees transactions related to domestic transportation, including cross‑border trucking and local deliveries to customer sites.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
- Provide accurate quotes for shipments.
- Monitor shipment status, provide updates, and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Anticipate customer needs to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Work closely with sales and other team members to address customer concerns proactively, contributing to improved business performance.
- Organize domestic shipment logistics in a professional and efficient manner.
- Minimum of 2 years in domestic truckload operations.
- Familiarity with transportation, trucking, and delivery processes, and experience with tracking and tracing IT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to meet performance targets and deadlines.
- Skillful in managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving logistical challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Able to perform essential duties safely.
- Required:
2 years’ experience working in transportation or domestic trucking. - Preferred: experience working in Cargo Wise (C1) and ExWorks.
- Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
100% performed in a climate‑controlled internal office environment under normal office conditions. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle items, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
