JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY :

Receive the drivers who arrive with the documents and merchandise to be delivered to the client, assign them a door for unloading, register their arrival, create a reference to the merchandise, print labels and pass information to the forklift coordinator for the unloading of the material.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Greet the driver, ask for the reason for the visit and the documentation.
Assign a dock for unloading.
Located load the activity log (AL) and write it down on the bill of lading (BOL)
Select the date and time of arrival on the activity log.
Verify if there is an existing entry for Inbond loads.
Enter the arrival for each provider on the quick entry (QE) screen.
Print all labels for each provider/reference.
Create a work order (WO) for the start and end load time of the forklift driver.
Access AS400 to adjust as needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSE AND

CERTIFICATIONS:

No specific licenses or certifications are required. However, relevant certifications will be considered as part of the qualifications and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.
Ability to give directions to drivers.
Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
Ability to use computer hardware, various software programs and technologies, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.
Required to comply with all policies and procedures.
Organization, Typing, Data Entry Skills, Service Skills, Decision Making, Analyzing Information, Bilingual
Ability to follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Work is performed inside an office working closely with others and alone with light traveling required. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours;
Work requires simple grasping, standing, sitting, and walking. Ability to see, write, count, read, identify shade of colors, and hearing is needed to perform essential functions.
