Pay and Miles
CDL-A drivers earn $1,400 to $1,500 per week while running approximately 2,500 to 3,000 miles per week throughout the Southwest. Additional fuel bonus opportunities can add 1 to 4 cents per mile based on fuel efficiency performance.
Home Time and Running Areas
Drivers typically run 5-7 days before returning home for a weekly reset. Freight moves throughout a Southwest regional operating area that helps maintain consistent miles while allowing drivers to return home regularly.
Trucks must be parked at a designated MVT terminal or approved yard during home time and cannot be taken home.
Equipment
Drivers operate late-model International LT trucks with 71-inch sleepers, automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, and space for a refrigerator. All equipment is less than three years old and maintained through Penske's nationwide maintenance network.
If a truck requires extended repairs, replacement equipment is provided whenever possible to help keep drivers moving and earning.
Freight consists of a variety of dry van loads for major customer accounts. All freight is no-touch, with a large percentage operating as drop-and-hook to minimize delays and maximize driving time.
