Tractor-Trailer Driver

The Tractor-Trailer Driver will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner. • Education:
  
  High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required.
• Experience:
  
  At least 2 years of professional driving experience operating a tractor-trailer or other heavy commercial vehicle.

• Required:
  
  Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), held for a minimum of 2 years.

  Certifications:
  
  While not required, candidates with certifications relevant to warehouse management, logistics, or safety are encouraged to submit them for consideration.

• Knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to plan, direct, supervise and coordinate the work of subordinates.
• Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.
• Ability to give directions to and gain compliance from assigned staff.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.
• Required to comply with all Imperative Logistics' policies and procedures.

Work is performed outside having a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, such as: fumes, smoke or gases, dust, grease, and oils. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours and on-call. Capable of working closely with others, and with moving objects or vehicles in an excessive noisy environment. Exposure to unknown and dangerous conditions.

Work requires straight pulling, simple and dual simultaneous grasping, standing, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, stooping, reaching above shoulders, climbing stairs, walking, carrying over 45 pounds, and moderate lifting over 45 pounds. Ability to see, write, count, read, identify shade of colors, and hear is needed to perform essential functions.
