Job Summary

This position supports our offices in Duval, Nassau, Pasco & Pinellas counties. Daily responsibilities include researching and identifying grant opportunities, acquiring and compiling data, completing and submitting grant applications, maintaining grant data and providing status updates/reporting to internal and external customers as required and ensures compliance with grant responsibilities and accountabilities. Occasional travel required between offices in Northeast Florida and Suncoast Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Actively research and identify grant opportunities and other similar funding sources.
  • Create, monitor, and refine systems to track grant opportunities and submissions.
  • Coordinate with appropriate staff to determine and confirm which grants to pursue then initiate and complete the grant application process.
  • Manage data collection and reporting systems for acquired grants; prepare timelines and status reports.
  • Maintain grant and program records.
  • Ensure responsiveness to grantor/compliance with scope of grant.
  • Assure performance of grant implementation. Act as liaison with grant contacts.
  • Facilitate and maintain grant-related community partnerships.
  • Facilitate/liaison department Mind Share/CoBRIS requests/needs.
  • Attend appropriate meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in business related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience:

    Demonstrated history of receiving local and/or state awards.
  • Ability to:
    Think and write creatively;
    Research, organize and analyze data;
    Solve problems and think through critical, time sensitive issues;
    Establish and maintain relationships;
    Work collaboratively with staff at all levels;
    Follow through on commitments, projects and responsibilities;
    Read, research and interpret documents;
    Speak effectively before small and large groups;
    Calculate figures and amounts;
    Maintain confidential information.
  • Knowledge:
    Grant resources and other funding sources;
    Grant application process.
  • Skills:

    Strong Written and Verbal Communication;
    Strong follow-up and follow through;
    Strong organizational and time management;
    Excellent accuracy and attention to detail;
    Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word;
    Experience with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Other Requirements:
    Clear a Level II Background screening (Live Scan);
    Positive references;
    Clear a local background check from the County of residence;
    Clear a substance abuse screen;
    Provide copies of degrees;
    Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check;
    Provide driver’s license and auto insurance;
    Provide proof of and maintain minimum personal auto liability insurance;
    Clear an E-Verify check.
