Crue Demolition & Construction is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to help lead our next chapter.
We’re expanding from a successful restoration and remodeling operation into larger commercial projects—including tenant improvements, institutional renovations, and full-building gut rehabs valued up to $3 million.
This is not a junior estimating position
. We need someone who can take full ownership of a commercial bid from invitation through final pricing, including:
- Reviewing plans and specifications
- Performing quantity takeoffs
- Soliciting and leveling subcontractor bids
- Building clear, complete scopes of work
- Analyzing costs, general conditions, contingency, and margins
- Preparing proposals that can hold up in the field
- Handing won projects off cleanly to production
You’ll work directly with the owner, a Florida Certified General Contractor, who reviews and signs every commercial proposal—but you’ll be trusted to build and defend your own numbers.
We’re a small, growing team with modern systems, AI-assisted workflows, and very little corporate red tape. The projects you price will have a direct impact on where this company goes next.
What we’re looking for- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor
- Proven ability to manage bids independently
- Strong plan-reading, takeoff, CSI division, buyout, and bid-leveling skills
- A track record of projects delivered at or near their estimated margins
- Clear, professional scope letters, clarifications, and exclusions
- Ability to attend site visits throughout the Tampa Bay area
- Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, Xactimate, institutional renovations, or the Tampa Bay subcontractor market is a plus.
Compensation and benefits
- $85,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Performance bonus tied to gross-margin accuracy
- Vehicle or mileage allowance
