Grade Power Learning Largo is looking for an upbeat reliable, enthusiastic, dynamic part-time tutor who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must be comfortable teaching students in 9th to 12th grade. Instructors must be ready to teach algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2.
We are currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning center. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers, equations, and language and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.
SAT/ACT tutoring experience, or ability to score in the 85th percentile required.
Teacher-tutors at Grade Power Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position RequirementsAll Teacher-Tutors at Grade Power Learning work PORTIONS of after-school and evening hours (2:30pm - 7:00pm), and OPTIONAL Saturdays (10:00am - 1:00pm). Build your own schedule of 4-30 hours/week. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:
Education- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a college/university is preferred
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a 9th to 12th grade (or equivalent) level is preferred
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills with ability to teach algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching in-person
- Following the Grade Power Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post-lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Salary Range$20 - $23 / hour
Schedule- Evenings: portions of Mon - Thur 2:30 pm - 7:00 pm, and Fri 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
