Electrical Design Engineer II – ONICON, Inc. (Largo, FL):
Design and develop new flow and energy measurement products such as analog sensor drives, digital embedded circuits, and sensor components for ONICON’s product offerings. Generate new product design documentation. Design new digital and analog circuits or determine suitability of existing circuits for flow measurement devices. Develop prototypes and test designs during development. Develop manufacturing processes to support new product designs.
Create and update test plans and instructions relating to Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and electrical systems. Facilitate product development as Scrum Master for the development team. Benchmark innovative technologies and improve existing technologies. Facilitate Engineering Change Orders. Research, select, and approve substitute electrical components for existing designs. Create electrical design specifications based on market requirements, uncertainty analysis, and mechanical and firmware requirements.
Perform testing in support of new component selection for current and new design.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience with precision electro-mechanical measurement devices, CAD tools for circuit analysis, SPICE simulation tools, and CAD package (e.g., Altium) for PCB layout. Also requires experience with MRP/ERP Software (e.g., Microsoft Business Central), flow meter technologies (ultrasonic & electromagnetic) and ISO 17025 standards. Travel (
