Play a key role in driving the success of critical programs at Collins Aerospace Mission Systems. The Integrated Platforms (IP) team is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer to support programs for our U.S. military and various international customers, delivering world‑class solutions.

• Lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to validation in collaboration with customer, subcontractors, and executive leadership.
• Organize and lead development, integration, dry‑run, and formal qualification testing of the products.
• Manage the cost and schedule of the solutions you lead.
• Drive conversations with decision‑makers and recommend courses of action across complex problems.
• Lead business capture through identifying technological gaps and opportunities.

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, OR an advanced degree and minimum 5 years of experience, OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of design professionals including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Test, Logistics, and System Engineers.

Practical experience in at least three of the following areas:

• Systems Engineering
• Test Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience across the Systems Engineering V with an emphasis on integration and test.
• Experience writing and reviewing BOEs.
• Experience leading discussions with customers and vendors/subcontractors.

• Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience with voice communication systems, including VoIP protocols like SIP, RTP and SRTP.
• Familiarity with multicast networking (e.g., IGMP, PIM) for efficient data transmission in communication systems.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, UDP, and network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Knowledge of military specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) for designing rugged and reliable systems.

Salary Range: $107,500 – $204,500.
